Village Forum

This is a chatroom set up the Community Development Trust for residents to talk to each other about life on the Village.  If you wish to share some information with other residents or to start a discussion on a particular topic than this is the place to do it!

We have a number of topics being debated on the forum, including the Annual Summer Street Party, E6 Bus Route, litter, children playing out, car sharing, property to rent, etc. etc. etc.

How to join the GUV discussion Forum

Only residents of the Grand Union Village and other individuals directly associated with it are permitted to join the online Forum (no spammers/bloggers please!).

Register with the Forum

Please note - you must first register with the site to enable your account to be approved in order that you are then able to access to the forum. First you must register a username and password. To do this, go to the main Forum page (http://www.guvcommunity.org.uk/forum/) and then click the small 'Register' link at the top of any page. You will be taken to the Registration Agreement Terms, which you must agree to in order to register.

Next you will be taken to the registration information form. Fill out each of the required fields, and any of the optional fields you like.
When you register, you must specify an email address.

Joining one of the user group on the GUV Forum eg. Talk of the Village.

First of all, make sure you are logged on using the user name and password that you set up during registration. Once you are logged in then you may proceed with your registration:

1. Click on 'User Groups' at the top of the page.

2. Choose 'Registered Community Members' from the Join a Group dropdown list, and click 'View Information'.

3. This will take you to the Group Control Panel. Click 'Join Group' to request membership in the group. The Group Administrator will receive an email informing them of the request, which they must approve before you become a member of the group.

4. You will see a screen giving you the message: ' You have successfully subscribed to this group. In due course you will be notified when your subscription is approved by the Forum moderator (Cathy Bowyer).'
